Each associate is focused on respect, assistance, and integrity for our customers.
Michelle Lais – “Head Cheese”
Michelle is “THE” Head Cheese of DeSigns Inc. She started working for her father at DeSigns in 1989 and now has taken over day-to-day operations. She is highly knowledgeable of the sign business and provides fantastic customer support to her customers. In addition to running the company, she enjoys running 10K and 5K races.
Along the way, she even persuaded the rest of the DeSigns team to get running! At home, she is married to Drew. They stay busy raising their three daughters, their dog, Winston and two cats.
Joe and Mary Mazur – “Retired and Loving It”
Joe and Mary dreamed of moving to VA from RI in 1989 to start their own company. After deliberating with their four children about what business would best serve their community, they decided everyone needs a sign! With Michelle’s knowledge of art and design, she was ready to start her journey with DeSigns Inc.
The small business started in their home with all four kids weeding vinyl, assembling signs, and folding flyers for distribution. DeSigns Inc. opened its first location on the south side of the Great Bridge, and 14 years later, after expanding and purchasing some of the latest printers, moved to the north side of the bridge in our iconic yellow building!
Today, Joe and Mary are “retired” and can enjoy their seven grandchildren golfing, traveling, and being with friends. (Joe, however, will never really retire and will always be involved in the business because he can’t stay away!) Now Michelle runs the company.
